On May 1st 2004, 10 new countries joined the European Union; Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia , Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

The population of the EU now stands at a mighty 450 million citizens, making it the world's biggest single market in terms of population. In theory, all citizens should be able to move freely around the 25 countries, although certain exclusions will apply until 2007, when freedom of movement becomes a non-negotiatable right.

Euro-10 is a community website, meeting place and resource centre for all European citizens wanting to live, work and/or set up business within the 2004 EU accession countries.

All contributions are welcome in building a comprehensive guide to living and working in the new, expanded Europe .

Resources will include: jobs, business opportunities and accommodation; cultural and historical knowledge; personal experiences and opinions; your experiences as a traveller, migrant worker or entrepreneur; politics; humour; poetry etc.
